The low pressure area formed over northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal is likely to trigger heavy downpour in many parts of Odisha in the next 12 hours, informed Met.
Under the impact of the monsoon trough line which is tilting southwestwards, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Bolangir, Nuapada, Sonepur and Nabarangpur.
Due to prevailing conditions over Odisha and neighbouring coast, Met has issued yellow warning for the districts of Koraput, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal, Bargarh and Sambalpur, where the amount of rainfall will be slightly less.
